Performance Characteristics
Twin Countershaft Power Splitting: This gear is designed for FAST's classic twin countershaft transmission architecture. It "floats" radially on the main shaft and engages with two countershaft gears simultaneously. This splits the torque load evenly, reducing the stress on a single tooth by 50% and drastically lowering the risk of broken teeth.
Precise Tooth Count (46 Teeth): The standard configuration features 46 teeth, providing a massive gear ratio. This ensures maximum torque multiplication, which is essential for heavy-duty trucks starting on steep inclines under full load.
Premium Forged Alloy Steel: It is manufactured from premium low-carbon alloy steel (such as 20CrMnTi). The blank is formed via precision die forging, providing excellent structural density and high impact toughness to survive harsh clutch engagements.
Carburizing & Quenching: The gear undergoes rigorous case-hardening heat treatment. This results in an extremely hard outer layer for wear resistance, while maintaining a flexible, ductile core to absorb sudden shock loads without snapping.
CNC Gear Grinding & Modification: The tooth profiles are precision-ground using advanced CNC machinery. Micro-geometry modification ensures exact tooth alignment, which minimizes transmission noise in 1st gear and maximizes power efficiency.
