Troubleshooting a Dump Truck's Inability to Lift or its Inability to Lift: When a dump truck (especially a 50-80 ton construction vehicle) needs to unload at a construction site, pressing the lift switch may result in the truck bed either being unresponsive or unable to lift even with heavy throttle. After checking the hydraulic cylinders and multi-way valve, the problem is usually caused by a broken paddle fork in the power take-off (PTO), air leakage or pressure loss in the cylinder, or excessive wear and stripping of the drive gear.
Repairing Severe Power Take-Off (PTO) Oil Leaks and Abnormal Noises: Due to the PTO's long-term exposure to heavy loads and high pressure, insufficient transmission oil or excessively dirty gear oil can cause PTO bearing corrosion, resulting in a loud "clunking" or "humming" noise while the truck is in motion. If left untreated, a large amount of gear oil will leak from the PTO shaft, eventually causing the entire transmission to burn out.
Overseas Engineering Special Vehicle Modification and Bulk Procurement: Infrastructure construction in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East heavily relies on Sinotruk Howo dump trucks. Due to frequent operation by local drivers and the high-temperature, sandy environment, the pneumatic components and gears of the PTO wear out quickly.
